IASTM, also commonly known as the Graston technique, is a soft tissue treatment using a stainless steel instrument that involves “scraping” overactive muscles. This is highly effective for conditions like tendinopathies, nerve entrapments, scar tissue/muscular adhesions, and strain/sprains.
It works by resetting normal muscle tone, improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, initiating fibroblastic proliferation, and increasing collagen synthesis.
This treatment is commonly seen in college and professional sports settings but is highly beneficial for anyone with conditions similar to those listed above.

The McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy (MDT), is an internationally acclaimed assessment and treatment method developed by world-renowned physical therapist Robin McKenzie. MDT is a biopsychosocial system of musculoskeletal care emphasizing patient empowerment and self-treatment.
At Advanced Chiropractic, we believe the patient must be able to take charge of managing their pain- we just want to guide you! This method is particularly effective in treating disc-related issues in the neck and lower back and is one of the most researched physical therapy-based methods available.

Cupping therapy uses special cups to create suction in specific body areas to increase blood flow, which reduces pain & deep tissue inflammation. The cups are applied with heat & minimal pressure to create suction on the skin. Blood & oxygen flow to the areas the chiropractor targets and toxins are flushed out by the lymphatic system, kidneys, & liver.
Cupping therapy can help alleviate back & neck pain, stiff muscles, migraines, & much more.

The SFMA is a movement-based diagnostic system that systematically breaks down functional movement to identify the cause of the pain—not just the source. This is based on the concept of regional interdependence- how seemingly unrelated problems are driving the dysfunction.
Every new patient receives this movement screen at the first visit, allowing for an accurate diagnosis and an appropriate individualized treatment plan.
K-Tape involves strategically placing non-latex elastic tape over many different regions of the body. It works by providing sensory feedback to the brain and increasing proprioception to joints to correct and enhance movement patterns.
Additionally, it has been shown to improve lymphatic return
and
improve blood flow. K-Tape is also commonly used in high-level athletes but is excellent for anyone looking to live an active lifestyle.

Normatec shoulder and leg sleeves use the latest technology to provide a dynamic air compression massage throughout the limbs. This allows for improved circulation, reduce lactic acid build-up, and flushes metabolic waste. This helps stimulate muscle recovery after strenuous exercise and leads to improved performance over time. This is no extra charge to patient’s coming in for an adjustment.
